Charity (Love) Never Faileth

As a Christian, if you had to use one word to describe the Christian faiths teachings, expressions, lifestyle, spiritual warfare, and the overall mission and condition of the church (Body of Believers), what would that one word be?

We all may think about it, and come up with our own thoughts, but the Bible tells us, what all of these should be described in one word “Love” or in the KJV Bible “Charity” which translates to Love.

In I Corinthians 13, the chapter is devoted to explaining as a Christian our entire life should be lived in the Spirit of Love. We can have faith to move mountains, give all that we have to the poor, and even die for our faith, but we still have nothing and gained nothing, unless we do these things in Love.

This means selfless abandonment to the Love that our Lord and Saviour showed us while he was on this earth. In everything our Lord did on this earth, he did with genuine Love toward all people and nations.

In our churches, there are many people doing great things in the name of our Lord and Saviour, including our Pastors, but are they doing all things in the Spirit of Love, or for some other reason. We see in I Cor. 13, it is all in vein, unless done in Love.

Please read I Corinthians 13, and see if this describes your life as a Christian, reflect on how you could Love as Christ loved the church and all people, as I will also. Imagine a church atmosphere where everything is done in Love, amazing.

“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” (1 Cor 13:13)

In Christ,
