Beginning

I wanted to start this site with the reasoning behind it.  I try to spend time every day reading, studying and meditating on God’s word.  My mother taught me that spending time every day in the Bible continues to improve your walk with God. My mother was the greatest Christian I have ever known.  She had a wealth of knowledge from all of her studies over the years. She passed much of it onto me, but I realize there was much more she could have shared with me and other people.

You can study the bible every day for a lifetime and still not know or understand everything it contains. People and religions interpret the Bible differently, and people can take different meanings from its content.  I personally believe if you study it, pray and meditate on the information and ask God to show the meaning and way he will.

This site was set up to be a portal where I can discuss my studies and knowledge with friends, brothers and sisters in Christ who also share in the journey for a closer walk with God. My hope is that this site will be an encouragement to others and myself in our daily battle.  At church this evening, our pastor had a message from Exodus 40, and discussed how when God freed Israel from captivity in Egypt, He did not do it just to make them free, but so they can grow closer to him, serve him and be his people. Our pastor correlated this to us, when we receive Christ as our Saviour, salvation is not just to free us from hell, but to then start us on a path to serve and walk with God daily.  I hope this site will be a blessing and help to all who visit it.
